The SCUIP is an effort of the Public Policy Center of UMass Dartmouth, developed with the support of the university and the Community Foundation of Southeastern Massachusetts.
Like other indicators projects from cities around the United States, the SCUIP was designed to meet the information needs of citizens and leaders of Fall River and New Bedford. The short-term goal of this project is to promote informed decision-making by every level of stakeholder in these communities. In the long term, we hope this project will empower citizens to become actively engaged in improving outcomes for themselves, their neighbors, and their cities.
